What does code P0174 mean?

The P0174 error is a DTC code that appears when the engine control module identifies this problem: "Fuel Trim Malfunction (Bank 2)".

Although it is a universal OBD2 code applicable to almost all modern cars (since 1996), how to fix it depends heavily on the brand. Repairing this fault is not the same on an Audi as it is on a Honda.
