Code C1495

Traction Control Motor Potentiometer Circuit Failure

What does code C1495 mean?

The OBD-II diagnostic code C1495 is triggered when your vehicle's Engine Control Unit (ECU) detects an issue described as: "Traction Control Motor Potentiometer Circuit Failure".

Although it is a universal OBD2 code applicable to almost all modern cars (since 1996), how to fix it depends heavily on the brand. Repairing this fault is not the same on an Audi as it is on a Honda.

🛠️ Need to diagnose and clear the check engine light?

If you want to clear the code and turn off the dashboard warning light on your own, you will need to use a wireless OBD2 adapter.
