What does code B2485 mean?

The B2485 error is a DTC code that appears when the engine control module identifies this problem: "LF SIDE REPEATER LAMP OUTPUT Ckt Short to Battery".

Although it is a universal OBD2 code applicable to almost all modern cars (since 1996), how to fix it depends heavily on the brand. Repairing this fault is not the same on an Audi as it is on a Honda.
